2 cups rolled oats |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup shortening |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 cups pastry flour |
Directions:
1. cream together rolled oats shortening and sugar. 2. add milk gradually and continue beating until creamy. 3. sift together dry ingredients 4. add to milk mixture 5. add vanilla 6. chill overnight 7. roll thon 8. cut in desired shapes 9. bake 10 minutes in 375 degree oven. |
