Something I just cooked up in the kitchen on a lazy day. Think crunchy pickled cucumber bits from creamy tar-tar sauce with egg and a sprinkle of garlic and pepper. Ok, so it's not exactly gourmet but I liked it so much I had 3 omelets at one go. I shall try not to keep count of the cholestrol! Ingredients:
1 teaspoon olive oil |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon tartar sauce |
1 dash garlic powder |
1 dash pepper |
1 dash salt (optional) |
melba toast (or 1 slice of white bread) |
Directions:
1. Heat oil on pan. 2. Beat egg or if you are feeling lazy like me, break an egg over a pan and scramble it with a spatula, confining it to a small area. 3. Add 1 tsp of tartar sauce and garlic powder to the pan and mix briskly (i prefer my egg slightly runny) before sliding the omelet over the toast. 4. Add a dash of pepper to taste. Add a sprinkle of salt to taste if you so prefer, but it's actually not necessary. 5. Ta-dah! |
