simple side dish to flavour the plain rice or bread .. Ingredients:
70 gm dried prawn , soaked |
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste |
200 gm shallots , peeled and sliced |
oil few tbsp |
100 gm fresh chilli paste ( comes in plastic bags from supermarket/wetmarkets ) |
1 tsp sugar |
3 tbsp tamarind juice |
salt |
1 l onion , cut into rings |
3 small tomatoes , wedges |
10 hard boiled eggs |
Directions:
1. Pound the prawn , shallots and the gin-gar paste . 2. Fry until fragrant . 3. Add chilli paste and fry until aromatic . 4. Add the sugar , tamarind juice and salt and boil until the gravy thickens . 5. Add the tomato wedges and onion rings and fry for 3 mins . 6. Add the eggs and fry for 2 mins . 7. Dish out . |
