I was making this for someone else and wasn't sure how picky they would be so I decided to stick with something simple. It kind of brings to mind less is more, and you don't have to add more ingredients to have something that tastes delicious. This got rave reviews, and even I loved it although I expected to be bored with it. I tripled the recipe and there were no leftovers. Great sandwich. Recipe courtesy of the Settlement Cookbook 1965. Don't forget to check my recipe for boiled eggs to make this even simpler. Ingredients:
4 hard-cooked eggs |
3 tablespoons mayonnaise |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
salt, to taste |
Directions:
1. Chop the hard-cooked eggs. 2. Season with salt and pepper and moisten with mayonnaise. |
