My mother and father-in-law had these in a little bakery on their honeymoon 50 years ago.
Ingredients:
3 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 teaspoons sugar
1 cup flour, sifted
Directions:
1. Beat eggs well.
2. Add oil slowly, a little at a time, while still beating.
3. Add vanilla and sugar.
4. Add half the flour and beat about 3-4 minutes.
5. Add remaining flour and combine well.
6. Drop by the teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake 7 minutes at 400 degrees, t hen reduce to 375 degrees for 5 minutes.
7. Turn off oven and leave kichel in oven for 18 minutes.
