This is my hubby's favorite breakfast casserole. Ingredients:
1 lb breakfast sausage |
2 - 3 slices heavy bread, cubed |
6 - 8 eggs, large |
1 tbsp ground mustard |
2 cups milk |
2 cups shredded cheese (like sharp cheddar) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325oF. 2. Cook sausage and drain fat. 3. Put cubed bread into 9x13 pan which has ben sprayed with non-stick spray. 4. Placed cooked sausage on top of bread. Mix slightly beat eggs, milk and ground mustard together in a bowl. Pour over sausage and bread in the pan. 5. Top with shredded cheese. Let set overnight if possible (in fridge). 6. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes. |
