This is a recipe that my grandmother made for Easter and Christmas, was a favorite of the family at all holiday gatherings.Found it in an old cookbook of my moms and had to share it with all that might want to try it.Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Ingredients:
1 dozen egg |
1 1/2 quarts milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 pinch salt |
Directions:
1. Beat all ingredients together well. 2. Cook slowly over LOW heat until it looks like yellow cottage cheese,and liquid starts to seperates. 3. Pour into a strainer lined with cheese cloth,form into a ball. 4. Hang over sink and let drip,about 2 hours. 5. Refrigerate over night. |
