My grandpa, who was a creature of habit used to make this breakfast for us and called it in Russian something like shakers-whippers , which made it a lot more fun to eat Ingredients:
basic math for one serving |
1 egg |
1 slice of sourdough bread or 1 slice of regular white bread toasted |
1/2 tsp butter |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Soft boil eggs: 2. Bring water to a boil, reduce heat 3. Lower the eggs into water and slow cook no longer than 3-4 minutes 4. Meanwhile, spread butter on a slice of bread and cut the bread into small cubes 5. Cut the egg open and scoop the content out in a cup 6. Add salt, pepper and mix well 7.
