You need to make the White Sauce first. This bakes at 450 degrees until brown (about 15 minutes). Ingredients:
5 hard cooked eggs sliced |
2 c. diced cooked potatoes |
1 cl diced cooked celery |
1 tbsp. chopped pimentoes |
1 tbsp. chopped green pepper |
2 c. well seasoned medium thick white sauce |
1/2 c. grated cheese |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients except the cheese to the hot white sauce. 2. Pour into a well greased casserole and top with grated cheese. 3. Serves 6. 4. Bake at 450 degrees until brown (about 15 minutes). 5. ===================================================== 6. White Sauce 7. 2 c. scalded milk 8. Salt & pepper to taste 9. 4 Tbsps. butter 10. 4 Tbsps. flour 11. Blend butter and flour. 12. Add milk slowly to this mixture. 13. Cook in double boiler until thickened. 14. Add salt and pepper. |
