Ed is actually becoming quite the cook. Now if he will only learn how to clean toliets! Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey |
1 lb low-fat sausage |
3/4 cup chopped onion |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 (15 ounce) can stewed tomatoes |
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce |
2 tablespoons parsley flakes |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1 teaspoon basil leaves |
3 cups cottage cheese |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese |
1 tablespoon parsley flakes |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 (16 ounce) box lasagna noodles (cooked) |
3/4 lb mozzarella cheese |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Brown turkey burger, sausage, onion and garlic. Drain. Add tomatoes and break up. 2. Stir in tomato sauce, parsley flakes, sugar and basil. 3. Simmer 45 minutes. 4. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, salt and oregano. 5. In a 9x13 inch pan, layer noodles, cottage cheese mixture and meat sauce. 6. Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Bake for 45 minutes at 350*. Cool for 15 minutes then serve. |
