Edna's Ginger Cookies

Delicious, easy and smells terrific when baking. Very crisp.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 cup brer rabbit molasses
Directions:
1. Melt butter and mix with oil.
2. Add sugar and egg.
3. Beat well.
4. Separately, mix flour, baking soda and spices.
5. Add flour mixture to butter mixture.
6. Once incorporated, add molasses.
7. Chill.
8. Roll into balls (small walnut size).
9. Roll balls in granulated sugar.
10. Bake at 350 10- 12 minutes.
11. Use foil on cookie sheet.
