An appetizer, dip or Snack! A humble appetizer does not have to be complicated to be good! I did this on pumpernickel bread, but you can use what U want. I used the dip on the bread. This dish would also be fabulous served with tortilla chips or raw vegetables perfect for dipping. Read more . Tasty and easy. Another twist by Nigella Lawson.
Ingredients:
1 cup approx. edamame or peas which ever one you are using.
2 avocados plus lemon juice a teaspoon or so
i and a half cups of hummus, home made or of your choice. could be store bought.
salt pepper and spice of choice. i used more garlic
pumpernickel or brown bread of choice. optional if using for a dip.
Directions:
1. For Bread rounds
2. Cut bread into rounds with cookie cutter or large glass will do.
3. Toast slightly.
4. Cook endamame or peas cool and mash which ever one your are using.
5. Clean avocados pit and mash add lemon juice salt and pepper
6. Hummus Hummus or of your choice. Could be store bought. Hummus
7. Mix all together add any complimenting spice you wish. I added a bit more garlic.
8. Spread on the bread
9. Garnish with Parsley or Mint.
10. As A Dip
11. Place in serving dish garnish and serve with veggies or tortilla chips.
