I threw this together after reading an easy tomato soup recipe here on recipezaar. Mine is quite similar only with larger quantities. Ingredients:
16 -32 ounces chunked tomatoes |
1/2-3/4 quart milk |
4 -8 ounces sour cream |
1/2-2 tablespoon oregano |
1/2-2 tablespoon parsley |
1/2-2 tablespoon basil |
1/2-1 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Dump milk and tomatoes into large pot. 2. Turn heat on to medium/medium-high. 3. Add spices. 4. Cook as little as 10 minutes from time you turned on heat or as long as you would like. 5. Stir about every minute so it doesn't burn. 6. I ran a hand mixer through mine so I didn't have much for chunks. |
