Easy Tomato Chickpea Soup

Really easy - and very tasty!
Ingredients:
1 can chick peas drained
1 28 oz can tomatoes (with juice)
1 bottle roasted red peppers, drained
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp oregano
2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Saute onion and garlic in hot oil for 3 minutes
2. Purree all other ingredients in food processor or blender
3. Heat over low heat in a pot
4. Serve with fresh basil and sour cream, if desired.
