Easy, Tasty Barley Casserole |

I've been cooking this for years! I could never decide which I liked better - the chicken or the beef!! Ingredients:
1 cup pearl barley |
1/2 small onion, chopped |
chicken or beef bouillon |
4 cups water |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients in an ovenproof container, cover and cook at 350 for up to 2 hrs- until water is all absorbed. 2. Suprisingly good! 3. Update 4/9/11~~~I have found that I like my barley a lot better when it is more 'al dente', so I now use 1 cup barley and 2 cups water and cook for about an hour~~~Much better~~~;~)). |
