Easy Tangy Barbecued Beef |

Found this recipe in the Quick Cooking magazine and gave it a try. It is quick and easy. The sauce provides a nice tangy taste to the beef. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups ketchup |
1/4-1/2 cup water, as needed |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons chopped onions |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 tablespoon cider vinegar |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1/2-1 teaspoon minced garlic, to taste |
1/4 teaspoon coarse-ground mustard |
1/4-1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, to taste |
1 dash pepper |
3 cups thinly sliced deli roast beef, cut into strips |
6 sandwich buns |
Directions:
1. In large saucepan, combine sauce ingredients. 2. Bring to a boil. 3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Add beef and stir to cover with sauce. 5. Cover and simmer 5- 10 minutes or until heated through. 6. Serve on rolls. |
