Serve with fresh fruit and your favorite beer. I found this at Tops courtesy of National Pork Board. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping. Ingredients:
1/2 lb ground pork |
1 ounce taco seasoning mix (1 pkg) |
6 1/2 ounces pizza crust mix |
1 cup salsa |
1 cup low fat colby cheese |
2/3 cup tortilla chips |
1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce (1 head) |
2 tablespoons olives |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400. 2. In large non-stick skillet, cook ground pork with taco seasoning mix over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes or until pork is crumbly and no longer pink. 3. Prepare pizza crust according to package directions. 4. Spread crust evenly on greased 12-inch pizza pan and top evenly with salsa. Sprinkle on taco meat, cheese, and tortilla chips. 5. Bake in 400 oven for 18-22 minutes or until crust is golden brown. 6. Remove from oven, top with shredded lettuce and olives. |
