Easy Szechuan Style Linguine Noodles |

No need for a wok to make this! You can use use thin dried Asian noodles for this in place of linguine. To make this into a main meal fry some chopped chicken breast before preparing the dish then cut into bite-size pieces, or just add in some leftover cooked beef or chicken. This is easy and SO delicious! see Asian Chili-Garlic Sauce Ingredients:
8 ounces linguine |
4 tablespoons sesame oil, divided |
1/4 cup chopped peanuts |
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons fresh minced garlic (or to taste) |
1/3 cup teriyaki sauce (or to taste) |
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice |
1 -2 teaspoon asian chili-garlic sauce |
5 green onions, chopped |
1 small red bell pepper, seeded and sliced (optional) |
Directions:
1. Cook the noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water until JUST tender; drain and return the noodls to the pot; mix in about 1 tablespoon sesame oil with the chopped peanuts. 2. In a skillet heat about 3 tablespoons sesame oil over medium-low heat. 3. Add in ginger garlic and chopped red pepper (if using) saute for about 2 minutes. 4. Add in the teriyaki sauce, lime juice and chili sauce; simmer about 1 minute; add the sauce to the cooked noodles along with the green onions; toss to coat. 5. Season with salt and pepper. |
