This is so easy, I threw this together last Sunday. The family has asked for it again. My husband ate the leftovers cold, so it must be good. Ingredients:
1 lb italian sausage |
1 green pepper, chopped |
1/2 medium onion, chopped |
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms |
1/2 jar prego spaghetti sauce or 1/2 jar your favorite spaghetti sauce |
mozzarella cheese, slices |
submarine sandwich bread |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Brown Italian Sausage. 3. Toss in the green pepper and onions, cook till soft. 4. Toss in the mushrooms, heat. 5. Add the spaghetti sauce. 6. Toast the rolls in the oven for 3-5 minutes. 7. Ladle the stromboli sauce on the rolls. 8. Add cheese. 9. Pop in oven till cheese is melted, 3-5 minutes. |
