Ladies magazine recipe for a pretty and tasty dessert Ingredients:
1 lb strawberries |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 tsp almond extract |
1 1/2 cups whipped topping |
8 oz room temp marscarpone cheese |
12 italian ladyfinger cookies ( savoiardi ) |
grated sweet choclate ( garnish ) |
Directions:
1. Prep time does not include overnigh chilling 2. In blender puree berries, sugar and extract. 3. Mix whipped topping with cheese. 4. Fit ( cut if needed ) 12 italian ladyfinger cookies into 9 inch baking dish. 5. Pour half strawberry mmixture over cookies. 6. Spread with half cheese mixture. 7. Repeat with 12 more cookies, strawberries and cheese mixrure. 8. Cover and chill overnight. 9. Grate chocolate over top prior to serving. |
