Moist and tender. Great with mashed potatoes and salad. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs sirloin steaks |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup flour |
3 cups water |
Directions:
1. Mix flour, salt, and pepper. 2. Pound into steak (you'll have some left). 3. Cut steak into 6 pieces. 4. Heat oil in large Dutch oven. 5. Brown steaks on both sides. 6. Remove from skillet. 7. Add flour left from pounding, and cook for 2 minutes. 8. Slowly add water, stirring until smooth. 9. Return steaks, and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours stirring occasionally. 10. If you like you can add a browning sauce (Kitchen Bouquet) for more color. |
