I've been using this recipe for a while now. It's a great healthy snack. Awesome with bread, pitas or a kinds of veggies. I added cayenne to it because I like the kick. Ingredients:
1 (19 ounce) can chickpeas (drained and rinsed) |
2 tablespoons tahini |
1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1 tablespoon lime juice |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne |
1 garlic clove (big) |
Directions:
1. Place everything in a food processor and add a bit of water while it's processing. Keep adding water til it's the consistency you like. (about 5 tablespoons). 2. Scrape down the sides once or twice. |
