I have recieved this recipe from a friend and they are delicious. I haven't made them myself yet, but she tells me it is very easy. Ingredients:
1 pkg. yeast |
1 1/2 cups warm water |
1 tbsp. sugar |
1 tbsp. salt |
4 cups flour |
1 egg; beaten |
salt for the pretzel top |
Directions:
1. In a big bowl, mix together yeast, water, sugar and salt. 2. Stir in flour. 3. Knead on table until dough is smooth. 4. Shape dough into a pretzel shapes. 5. Brush with beaten egg. 6. Sprinkle with salt. 7. Bake in oven set at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until browned. 8. Serve with mustard. |
