this is so easy and looks like you really fussed... and looks expensive...it's another recipe from the Gooseberry series... i don't know how many it serves...depends on what else you have with it and how hungry people are. Read more ..the prep time does not include the chill time Ingredients:
1 cup sour cream |
1/4 teasp. finely grated lemon peel |
1 loaf of party size light rye bread |
4 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted |
1/2 pound smoked salmon, sliced and cut into 1/2 - 1-inch strips |
2 scallions, thinly sliced |
Directions:
1. combine the sour cream and the lemon zest. 2. chill for at least 2 hours or over night 3. ............................................................... 4. brush the bread slices with butter and cut each slice in half diagonally 5. arrange the bread triangles on a baking sheet 6. bake at 350' F for about 10 minutes.. or until lightly toasted 7. let cool completely 8. spread generously but not goopy, the chilled lemon cream on top of each triangle. 9. place a strip of salmon on top of each... be decorative... 10. garnish with the scallions... |
