Easy Semolina Cake For Non Bakers |

Baking venture of a non baker like me. Hmmmmmm turned out well. Inspired by cooking buddy Saramathews. Easy and it really tasted good. Ingredients:
semolina – 1 cup |
flour- 3 tbs |
oil- 1/2 cup |
yogurt- 1/2 cup |
sugar – 1/2 tbs |
baking powder- 1tsp |
raisin – a few |
ground nut roasted and powdered- 3tsp |
vanilla essence 2 drops |
sugar 1 tsp to caramelize |
Directions:
1. Mix semolina with baking powder, flour ., finely powdered sugar and a pinch of salt. 2. Add yogurt and blend it in a blender for some time to get a smooth mixture. 3. Leave it for 20 mins. 4. Beat and egg and add it to the mixture. Mix it up. 5. Add the oil. Blend it for the last time. 6. Add the raisin and ground nut powder , 2 drops of vanilla essence and mix it. 7. Flour a cake tin. 8. Pour the cake mixture and add the caramelized sugar and just swirl it in the mixture. 9. Bake it at 200 degree c till its golden brown.( approximately 35 mins). 10. Check it if its baked or not . 11. Let it cool and serve!! |
