I love salmon loaves. I have tried several and this is my favorite. Ingredients:
16 ounces salmon, drained and flaked |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1 cup dry breadcrumbs |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of celery soup |
1 egg |
1/2 cup minced onion |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
pepper |
2 tablespoons margarine |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 cup milk |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Mix all loaf ingredients together. 2. Shape into loaf. 3. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. 4. Top with white sauce. 5. SAUCE:. 6. Melt margarine in heavy saucepan. 7. Add flour 8. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. 9. Gradually add milk and cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly. 10. Add salt and pepper. |
