This is lean, quick, and easy.... and has a great aroma.. I add one can of rotel tomatoes to mine to make it hot..I also add some fresh garlic to this also and sometimes leave the oregnao out Ingredients:
1 pound turkey sausage cut in bites |
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper |
1/4 cup chopped celery |
1/4 cup chopped green onion (i also use 1/2 cup of reg onion too) |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon oregano |
red pepper to taste |
black peper to taste |
2 cans red beans |
1 can chicken broth or beef broth |
1 large can chopped tomatos |
2 cups minute rice |
Directions:
1. Brown turkey sausage with veggies, cook for 2 or 3 minutes 2. Stir in dry seasonings 3. add broth and beans 4. Bring to a rolling boil 5. and simmer for about 30 min 6. cook rice and serve this over the top of the rice... |
