I came up with this recipe when I accidently thawed out the wrong sausage... I was going to make biscuits and gravy for breakfast but oh well once I had noticed my mistake I decided to make ravioli for dinner the next night. Hope u like it we did it was a big hit at our house! Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs sweet italian sausage |
1 (3 ounce) package wonton wrappers (im not sure of the size of pkg but it made me put it in so its just the normal size found in the pro) |
20 ounces spaghetti sauce (i used 2 jars cause i like alot of sauce) |
8 ounces monterey jack cheese, shredded |
mozzarella cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Cook sausage in frying pan till done and crumbled (I used my little chopper to really crumble it after I cooked it); drain off fat. 2. Place a teaspoon of sausage in a wonton wrapper and sprinkle with the monterey jack cheese, then cover with another wonton wrap making a pocket kinda enclosing the sausage and cheese (I wet my hands slightly and that helped to seal the wontons). 3. Place raviolis in a large casserole dish and cover with spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese. 4. Bake at 300° F for about an hour or until hot and the mozzarella cheese is starting to brown on top. |
