Very easy and very good. Thanks to Shirley, a NOLA friend. Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
3 tablespoons sugar |
2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour |
2 cups chopped pecans |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees. 2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. 3. Sift flour 3 times and blend into butter mixture. 4. Add nuts and vanilla. 5. Roll into balls about 1 inch in diameter. 6. Place on baking sheet and bake for 1 hour. 7. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. 8. Roll again in powdered sugar when cooled. 9. Store in tightly covered container. |
