A great cobbler that my family just loves. Ingredients:
8 cups sliced peaches |
1 cup granulated sugar |
2/3 cup bisquick |
2 tablespoons bisquick |
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon |
2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar |
1/4 cup butter |
2 tablespoons milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. In large bowl, combine peaches, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons baking mix and cinnamon. In 11 x 7 inch baking dish, arrange peach mixture, set aside. 3. In medium bowl, mix remaining 2/3 cup baking mix with brown sugar. With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until mixture is the size of small peas. Stir in milk just until moistened. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto peach mixture. 4. Bake 30 minutes or until peaches are tender and topping is golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm . Top with vanilla ice cream if desired. |
