Easy and delicious beef stew. Put in the oven and forget it for 3 hours. From Mixing bowl! Ingredients:
1-3/4 lbs round steak,cut in 1-1/2 cubes |
6 small potatoes,scrubbed and quartered |
2 carrots,sliced |
2 celery stalks,sliced |
2 med. onions,coarse chopped |
1 c vegetable juice |
1/2 c beef broth |
1/4 c red wine vinegar |
2 tbs quick-cooking tapioca |
2 tbs worcestershire sauce |
1 tbs paprika |
1 tsp dried thyme,crushed |
1 bay leaf |
1/2 c chopped parsley |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In dutc oven,oe flameproof casserple dish,combine all ingredients except parsley. Stir well to combine. 2. Bake,covered,until beef is tender,about 3 hours or slightly less. Stir in parsley and serve. |
