A few new ingredients transform an old favorite into a weeknight wonder. To prevent the meat mixture from sticking to your hands, here's a simple trick: Moisten your hands with cold water before shaping the meat mixture into oval loaves. Pick your favorite stuffing, sauce, and sesaoning. This came from Kraft Food & Family. I have not tried this, posting for safe keeping. Ingredients:
2 lbs lean ground beef |
1 cup water |
2 beaten eggs |
6 ounces stove top stuffing mix (chicken, cornbread, savory herbs, or mushroom & onion) |
1/4 cup spaghetti sauce (food.com would not allow just sauce pick your favorite, original barbecue sauce, salsa or mushroom) |
seasoning (onion, green pepper, garlic, or mushrooms) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400. Mix ground beef, water, eggs, stuffing, sauce, and seasoings. 2. Shape meat mixture into 4 oval loaves on foil-covered baking sheet; top with remaining sauce. 3. Bake 30 minutes or until loaves are no longer pink in centers. |
