A wonderful pizza, without the red sauce but with fresh or canned plum tomatoes, and fresh basil . Some recipes include black olives etc. Easy with the use store bought pizza or boboli shells, or make your own crust. Read more . pizza also may be grille delightful! Ingredients:
1 12 inch pizza shell or use your own dough for a round or square pizza |
several fresh plum tomatoes or use drained canned plum tomatoes |
fresh chopped basil leaves |
fresh mozzarella cheese |
olive oil |
optional: crushed red pepper flakes, sliced black olives. chopped garlic |
Directions:
1. Prepare pizza dough for a round or square pizza pan. 2. drizzle dough with some olive oil 3. Place on sliced or shredded mozzarella cheese 4. scatter on coarse chopped plum tomatoes, 5. scatter on fresh torn basil leaves 6. Add some olives, chopped garlic o red pepper flakes if desired 7. Bake in a hot oven, 425 + till dough is browned on bottom and cheese melted 8. Also may be prepared on outdoor grill |
