Made this up to use up veggies and have made it so many times since. Not gourmet food- just easy with lot's of flavor. No need to add other seasonings when you have the sausage and marinara in the recipe. This is my favorite quick recipe. Leftovers are even better! Ingredients:
16 ounces bulk italian sausage |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms |
2 cups chopped zucchini |
2 cups chicken broth |
16 ounces marinara sauce |
Directions:
1. Brown and break up Italian sausage. Add onions until tanslucent. Add mushrooms and zucchini. Stir fry around 5 minutes. Add broth and simmer for 15 minutes or until zucchini is tender. Add marinara sauce and warm through. Serve with shredded parmesan cheese blend. |
