I just concocted this one night in a pinch. Its really just a form of goulash I guess but I got rave reviews from all who have tried it Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
1 -2 teaspoon garlic powder (i use the kind w parsley) |
1 lb penne pasta (cooked, could substitute with elbow or shells) |
2 (15 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce (i use prego organic garlic & basil flavor) |
1 (10 ounce) package kraft parmesan romano asiago cheese blend |
1 (10 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
sea salt & pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Brown ground beef w garlic powder, basil, sea salt & pepper, drain. 3. Add both jars of spaghetti sauce to drained meat. 4. While browning meat, prepare penne according to package directions, drain. 5. In 9x13 baking dish, layer ingredients: meat/sauce, cheese, pasta, cheese, meat/sauce cheese and so forth, ending w cheese (roughly 3 layers of each). 6. Bake uncovered until bubbly and cheese is melted. 7. *I usually serve with garlic bread and green beans. |
