Easy, Impressive Swedish Creme |

I don't know the original source of this recipe, but it was given to me by my good friend Lois. It's easy,yummy and impressive, especially if you have fancy dessert glasses to serve it in. Cooking time does not include chilling time. Enjoy Ingredients:
2 cups heavy whipping cream |
1 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons sugar, for fruit |
1 (1 tablespoon) envelope unflavored gelatin |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 teaspoon almond extract |
2 cups sour cream |
1 cup fresh raspberries, or or 1 cup strawberry, crushed or |
1 cup frozen raspberries or 1 cup strawberry, crushed |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan combine cream and 1 cup sugar. 2. Cook and stir constantly, until candy thermometer reads 160 degrees,or. 3. steam rises from pan. DO NOT BOIL. 4. Gradually whisk in gelatin, stir until dissolved. 5. Add both extracts, and blend. 6. Cool for 10 minutes. 7. Whisk in sour cream. 8. Pour into 8 dessert glasses, or small bowls. 9. Chill at least 1 hour. 10. In the meantime, combine 2 tsp of the sugar with the fruit (if frozen, thaw first). 11. Spoon equally over each serving. |
