I made these when I used to live in Georgia and was a short order cook in a restaurant. Ingredients:
1/2 cup cornmeal |
1 cup flour |
1 can corn (whole or creamy) |
1/2 finely chopped onion |
1/4-1/2 cup beer or 1/4-1/2 cup milk |
2 cups cooking oil |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a medium pan. 2. Mix ingredients well. 3. Spoon tsp of mixture into hot oil. 4. Fry until brown. |
