I just made my first recipe of bread with my new toy I got for my Birthday. Im in love with my new bosch mixer.The bread turned out so good I had to share. It makes plenty so get ready to share.I got this recipe right out of the cookbook that came with my mixer. Read more . You do not have to have a mixer to make this...just some strong arms. Ingredients:
4 tbs active dry yeast |
4 cups hot water |
6 tbs sugar |
2 tbs salt |
1 cup vegetable oil |
10-12 cups of flour(white or wheat) |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in your mixers mixing bowl. 2. Thoroughly knead on speed 3 (4-6 minutes) 3. Let rise in bowl 10 minutes, punch down 4 to 5 times. 4. Divide dough into 3-4 regular loaf pans.(I used 2 large pans and 3 small pans) 5. Slash tops with sharp knife and brush with egg wash. 6. Let rise doubled in size(this took about 15 min.) 7. Bake 30 minutes at 400*. 8. We ate an entire loaf for dinner..I gave the three small ones to friends at my sons baseball game. 9. Enjoy..this is the best french bread I have ever had!! |
