These gingery coookies are not only really tasty, but they are a snap to make. Their flavor is just right for Christmas; next time I am going to try substituting candied ginger for the candied fruit. Add them to your holiday cookie tray! Recipe is from Betty Crocker. Ingredients:
1 (14 1/2 ounce) box gingerbread mix |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 cup chopped nuts |
1 cup cut-up candied fruit (see variations below) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet(s). 2. Mix the gingerbread mix and water. 3. Stir in the nuts and candied fruit. 4. Drop by teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheet(s). Bake 10-12 minutes. 5. Variations:. 6. 2/3 cup cut-up gumdrops. 7. 1 cup prepared mincemeat. 8. 1 cup raisins or craisins. |
