I got this recipe from a friend in Washington State over 15 years ago and it has become a family favorite. Not for the faint of heart calorie counters, but it is sooooo good! Ingredients:
1 salmon fillet, skin on |
1 cup mayonnaise, and butter mixed together |
1 lemon, juice of |
garlic powder |
3 drops liquid smoke |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Wash salmon and pat dry. 2. Lightly rub with Liquid Smoke (careful about the amount. A little goes a long way). 3. Salt and pepper the fillet. 4. Mix equal amounts of Mayonnaise and butter together with the lemon juice and garlic powder to form paste. 5. Place fillet in oven proof container skin side down (line with foil for easy cleanup). 6. Spread Mayo/butter mix on top of fillet. 7. To cook:. 8. Bake in 375 degree oven until salmon flakes (20-40 minutes, depending on thickness of fillet). 9. OR. 10. Place salmon on foil and place on rack in covered barbeque and cook until it flakes. |
