I found this recipe in 2009 Country Cooking Cookbook Compliments Of Steuben County Farm Bureau leaflet. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping. I plan to use sugar free vanilla pudding and Splenda for the sugar. Ingredients:
1/2 gallon cold milk, divided |
3 1/2 ounces french vanilla instant pudding or 3 1/2 ounces sugar-free instant pudding mix |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk 3/4 cup milk and pudding mix until smooth. Whisk in the sugar, vanilla, spices. Stir in the remaining milk. 2. Refrigerate. |
