Another from my mom but I have never tried making these yet Ingredients:
2 eggs |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
1 cup sugar |
1 pinch salt |
1/3 cup shortening, melted (or oil) |
1 cup milk |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
4 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Mix all dry ingredients together. 2. Mix the eggs and sugar, add oil and milk. 3. Add wet to dry and mix well. 4. Roll out. 5. Cut into rounds, with a hole in the center. 6. Fry in oil until golden. 7. Cover with powdered sugar if desired. |
