I have no idea where this recipe came from, but i found it in my recipe box and decided to try it! I have now made these about 10 times in the past month because people LOVE them! I have varied them in a few ways, like adding cherry pie filling but start with the basics and you will have something EVERYONE LOVES! It looks like a lot of steps but I promise it is EASY!!!!! Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) packages crescent rolls |
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese |
1 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 egg (separated) |
1/4-1/2 cup cinnamon sugar (1/4 c. sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinn.) |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Spread one package of Cresecent Rolls on the bottom of a 13 x 9 pan. 3. Sprinkle Cresecent Rolls with half of cinnamon sugar mixture. 4. Using a hand mixer, beat together both packages of cream cheese, egg YOLK, vanilla, and sugar until smooth. 5. Spread cream cheese mixture over the crescent rolls. 6. Cover cream cheese mixture with the second package of Cresecent Rolls. (Try to spread these out before you lay them over the cream cheese mixture in order to cover the entire cream cheese mixture!). 7. Brush over the Crescent Rolls with the egg WHITE. 8. Sprinkle with remainder of cinnamon and sugar mixture. 9. Bake for 20-25 minutes. 10. Allow to cool and refrigerate before cutting! 11. ENJOY! |
