Had two cans of Campbell's French Onion Soup and had to improvise because I had no cheese or bread to do it right. My kids LOVE this soup. Ingredients:
9 tablespoons flour |
9 tablespoons butter + 1 |
3 cups of milk |
1 can of chicken broth |
2 cans of french onion soup |
1 onion |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 teaspoon coarse salt |
Directions:
1. Chop onion and sautee in 1 tablespoon butter, salt, and sugar, set aside. 2. Make a white sauce with butter, flour, and milk. (Melt butter, slowly whisk in flour, slowly whisk in milk.) 3. Add French onion soup, chicken broth, and onions, and heat on low to medium (depending on your stove top, just heat till desired temperature) for ten minutes and serve. |
