Easy Creamy Chicken And Noodle Bake |

This is a recipe from a magazine. It sounds interesting but haven't made it yet. Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups water |
1/2 cup milk |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine |
2 chicken bouillon cubes |
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes |
3 3/4 cups (6 oz.) light 'n fluffy wide or medium egg noodles, uncooked |
1/2 lb. cooked chicken, cut into 1/2-inch pieces (about 1 1/2 cups) |
1 1/2 cups frozen cut green beans or tiny fresh broccoli florets or 3/4 cup frozen peas |
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. In a microwave-safe bowl, stir together water, milk, butter, bouillion and parsley. Microwave at high (100%) 4 minutes or untill butter melts. 2. In 11 x 7-in. baking dish, spread uncooked noodles; pour hot liquid over noodles, stirring to coat thoroughly. 3. Stir in chicken and vegetables; spread noodle mixture evenly in dish. Cover with foil; bake 25 minutes stirring half-way through baking time. 4. Stir in cheese; let stand 5 minutes to thicken. 5. 5 servings (1 cup each). |
