This simple crab cake recipe came from an old community cookbook. It was the recipe my father used. Ingredients:
1 lb crabmeat, flaked |
1 egg, beaten |
1 cup cracker crumb |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
4 tablespoons butter |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
oil, as needed for frying |
Directions:
1. Mix together all ingredients and shape into cakes of desired size. 2. Fry in skillet at medium low heat in small amount of oil until golden brown, turning once. |
