Loving a once in a while fried treat? Try corn dogs Ingredients:
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal |
3/4 cup self-rising flour |
1 egg, beaten |
2/3 cup milk |
10 popsicle sticks |
10 hot dogs |
oil for deep-fat frying |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour and egg. 2. Stir in milk to make a thick batter; let stand 4 minutes. 3. Insert sticks into hot dogs; dip in batter. 4. Heat oil to 375°. 5. Fry corn dogs until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes. 6. Drain on paper towel. |
