I got this from a Baker's Chocolate cookbook (which I have unfortunately lost). These are so simple, and always incredibly popular. Best served at room temperature, but should stored in the 'fridge. Ingredients:
8 oz cream cheese |
3 cups powdered sugar |
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (melted) |
1 1/2 tsp vanilla |
cocoa powder to coat truffles |
Directions:
1. Beat cream cheese until smooth. 2. Gradually add 3 cups powdered sugar and beat until smooth. 3. Add melted (not hot) chocolate and vanilla. Beat until smooth. 4. Refrigerate ~1 hr or until mixture is cool enough to shape. 5. Roll into 1 balls, roll in cocoa. Store in fridge. |
