For chocolate lovers! I also add a bit of vanilla extract to the recipe Ingredients:
2 1/2 cup water |
3/4 cup plus 2 tbs sugar |
1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa powder |
2 oz unsweetened chocolate |
1 1/2 oz bittersweet chocolate |
Directions:
1. Combine water, sugar, cocoa powder in sauce pan and cook and stir and bring to a boil, making sure cocoa and sugar is dissolved. 2. Take off heat to cool a bit. 3. Whisk in remaining chocolates to melt all, mixing till smooth. 4. Let cool completely. 5. Then chill several hours 6. Using ice cream maker, freeze according to manufacturere's instructions 7. Store air tight in freezer for up to 3 days 8. Makes 1 quart |
