I make candy for Christmas every year, this is one of my good and easy recipes that i can whip up very quickly. You can actually use any kind of baking chip, cherry, butterscotch, vanilla, they're all good. For variety you can also add nuts or candied fruit, preferably if you are making a white chocolate nougat. Ingredients:
1-12 oz bag semi sweet chocolate chips |
1- jar marshmallow creme |
8 squares chocolate almond bark |
Directions:
1. In a large microwaveable bowl, melt chocolate chips, stirring every 30 seconds until chips are melted. 2. Remove bowl from microwave and stir in marshmallow creme. Mix until completely blended. 3. Divide mixture in half, roll each half into a log and wrap in waxed paper. 4. Place rolls into freezer until firm, 15 to 20 minutes. 5. Melt chocolate bark in microwave according to directions on package. 6. Remove nougat rolls from freezer, and slice then dip in melted bark and set on wax paper to dry. 7. Store in covered container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks or freeze until needed. |
